Kansas City, MO – The last undefeated team remaining in the NAIA continues to be the unanimous number one team in it, as the Generals got all ten first place votes to keep hold of the top spot for the fourth straight ranking period.

The Generals clinched a return trip to the NAIA National Championship Tournament, March 17-21 in Kansas City, by claiming their third straight RRAC Regular Season Championship last Saturday in a win over Jarvis Christian College. The win over the Bulldogs came 24 hours after LSUA picked up its seventh win on the year against ranked teams, a 73-57 road win to sweep the season series from then-#7 Wiley College.

Earlier in the rating period, LSUA also picked up a sweep of LSU Shreveport by defeating the Pilots at The Dock, 75-66, a key win on the way to winning the RRAC Title.

The Red River Athletic Conference tied for the most teams in the top 25 with four. Joining LSUA is LSUS at #12, Wiley at #20 and Our Lady of the Lake at #25. The Generals close out the regular season against the Saints in San Antonio on February 25th.

LSUA (25-0, 14-0 RRAC) is back on the court on Thursday night as the Generals open the newly-renovated Rapides Parish Coliseum, the same building that will host the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament, against St. Thomas. Tip-time between the Generals and Celts is set for 7:00 P.M.
