In the final stretch of the 2017 signing class, players are making their decisions.

Tulane was the recipient of one of those decisions Thursday when 3 star cornerback Kieston Roach declared for the Green Wave, becoming the 17 total addition to their 2017 class.

The 5-foot-11, 168 pounder from Houston, Texas. He pondered offers from hometown Houston as well as Baylor, Purdue, Illinois and Texas State. His older brother Kerwin is a guard on the University of Texas basketball team. It seems like the younger Roach was anticipating an offer from the Longhorns which never came. That may have prolonged the process before his decision to come to New Orleans.

Roach, the third corner thus far in the ’17 class for the Wave, is good in press coverage, turns and locates ball quickly in flight, tackles well in space, smells out screens and remains stride for stride with receivers.
