Worthy, Triplett, Moscona, Nagle, Walters to speak at GNOSF QB Club Tuesday

Fore!Kids Foundation CEO and Zurich Classic Producer Steve Worthy, ESPN.com New Orleans Saints reporter Mike Triplett, radio talk show host Matt Moscona, Tulane tight ends coach Slade Nagle and West St. John head coach Brandon Walters will speak at the weekly meeting of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club Luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at The Cannery, 3803 Toulouse Street in New Orleans.

A native of New Orleans, Worthy grew up in Jackson, LA and graduated from LSU. Worthy has a masters degree in sports administration from Ohio University. He was named to his current position in 2011 and has overseen the charity as well as the PGA tour event in the New Orleans area since then.

Triplett has been serving as ESPN.com’s New Orleans Saints reporter since 2013. Prior to that, Triplett covered the New Orleans Saints for nine years for the Times-Picayune.

A New Orleans native who moved to Baton Rouge in 1989, Moscona attended Catholic High and LSU. He serves as the host of “Upon Further Review” weekdays from 3-6 p.m. on ESPN 104.3 FM in Baton Rouge and on ESPN 100.3 in the New Orleans area.

A native of Lake Charles, Nagle starred at Barbe High School and played at McNeese State. He is in his first season under Willie Fritz at Tulane after serving four years as the running backs coach and special teams coordinator at McNeese State. He also coached previously at Northwestern State, LSU, Dodge City Community College, Texas State and Central Arkansas.

A New Orleans native who played at McDonogh 35 and Grambling, Walters is in his second season as the head coach at West St. John. Walters spent nine seasons as an assistant for the Rams under previous head coaches Laury Dupont and Robert Valdez. West St. John will travel to top-seeded Many Friday night in the Class 2A quarterfinals.

Speakers on the New Orleans Saints, LSU, Tulane and Prep football will address the audience weekly, along with special guest speakers from the sports world locally and nationally. A local high school player of the week is chosen throughout the season with a metro prep player of the year announced at the end of the season, sponsored by the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. Lunch is served weekly.

In addition, Chevron sponsors student-athletes of the week each week, who receive plaques and recognition for their accomplishments in the classroom.

Annual standard membership is $50 per person with premier annual membership at $80, which includes a Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation Quarterback Club golf shirt and lapel pin, along with reserved seating. Luncheons are $20 per person for members and $25 per person for non-members.
