Warhawks pick up sixth straight win, 5-2, against LA Tech

Monroe, La. – The ULM tennis team had another strong showing on Thursday as they picked up their sixth straight win with a Thursday victory over in-state foe Louisiana Tech by a 5-2 score at Heard Stadium.

NOTABLES
-Louisiana Tech picked up the doubles point on Thursday as they won two of the three doubles points from the Warhawks. ULM did win one of the three doubles matches when Tiffany Mylonas and Luana Stanciu won 6-2 out of doubles position two.
-The Warhawks dominated singles action again, winning five of the six matches highlighted by No. 114 Petra Horakova moving to 8-0 on the young season with a 6-0,6-0 shutout win.
-Patricia Villar won her singles point just as dominant with a 6-1, 6-1 win while Madalina Grigoriu also was dominant with a 6-2,6-1 victory.
-The Warhawks have now won six matches in a row for their longest winning streak since opening last spring with eight straight wins.
-For the season, the Warhawks are now 37-8 in singles matches as three individuals are unbeaten on the young season led by Horakova at 8-0. Tiffany Mylonas is 7-0 on the season while Luana Stanciu sits at 1-0 in singles action this year.
-The Warhawks have dominated the all-time series against the Lady Techsters 37-3.
