Warhawks led by Brown in Day Two of SBC Championship

Sun Belt Conference Championships
Location: Arlington, Tx.

Arlington, Texas – The ULM men’s and women’s track & field teams were led by senior Adriunna Brown in Saturday’s action at the 2017 Sun Belt Conference Championship, as she qualified for the finals in the 400 meter hurdles and had a sixth place finish in the long jump.

NOTABLES
-In the long jump, Brown notched a sixth place finish with her 5.87 meter jump in the finals. Brown also qualified for the 400 meter hurdles finals with a time of 1:00.69 in the preliminary race on Saturday evening. The final will be on Sunday afternoon.
-The decathlon finished on Saturday as Austin Walker had a ninth place showing, with the highlight of his Saturday coming in a second place finish in the javelin as he had a 51.08 meter toss.
-The Warhawks had a pair of participants place in the top 10 of the women’s shot put on Saturday, led by Dominique Allen. Allen had a 14.59 meter throw to place in seventh while Alexis Gordon finished in 10th with a 14.02 meter throw.
-Elias Keter rounded out Saturday’s action with an 11th place finish in the 3000 meter steeplechase as he had a 10:12.93 time in the event.

UP NEXT
-ULM will next be back on the track tomorrow morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a trio of Warhawks in the men’s discus on the final day of action at the SBC Championship.
