Rain forces midweek game to move to Wednesday

NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans baseball team’s midweek game against Southern Miss, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Mar. 7, has been postponed until Wednesday, Mar. 8, due to the weather. First pitch for the contest is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

This is the second-consecutive season that the Southern Miss game at Maestri Field has been affected by the weather. Last season, the second leg of the home-and-home series was cancelled.

Tickets for today’s game against Southern Miss will be valid for tomorrow’s rescheduled game. Fans are asked to retain their tickets and use them tomorrow at the entrance gate. Season ticket holders and mini-plan ticket holders who cannot make tomorrow’s rescheduled game can use their tickets for future “Roll-Over Nights” planned later in the season. Single game ticket holders who cannot attend may contact the UNO Athletics Ticket Office to exchange their tickets for a comparable game. Refunds on single game orders are on a case-by-case basis and requests must be made in writing via email to [email protected]

UNO begins Southland Conference play on Friday, Mar. 10 when they host Southeastern Louisiana in a televised contest starting at 6:30 p.m. For tickets to future Privateers athletic events, contact the UNO Athletics Ticket Office at (504) 280-GAME (4263) and season tickets can be purchased over the Internet by clicking HERE.
