ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – All-American Micah Larkins culminated the weekend for the Northwestern State track and field team with his performance in the 60-meter dash at the USATF Indoor Championships.

Fellow All-American Amir James and Lady Demon De’Shalyn Jones participated yesterday, as they both advanced to the finals in the 300.

James posted a time of 32.79 in order to advance to the finals, where he placed sixth, before he was disqualified for stepping out of his lane.

Jones, a junior, also advanced to the finals in the 300 with her time of 38.21. Unfortunately she was scratched from the last round due to soreness.

Larkins, a sophomore, finished the first round of the 60 with a time of 6.73, which did not allow him to qualify for the finals that take place later this afternoon.

The trio will join the rest of the NSU track and field team to begin the outdoor season on Mar 11, at the McNeese State Cowboy Relays.
