Texas Tech wide receiver Jonathan Giles plans to transfer to LSU

LSU will receive another reinforcement for their football roster via transfer from Texas Tech.

Jonathan Giles, a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist last season, announced in a post on his Twitter on Monday that he is a leaving Lubbock to join the Tigers:


The 6-foot, 195-pounder from Missouri City, Texas caught 69 passes for 1,158 yards and 13 touchdowns last season as a sophomore for the Red Raiders. Although Giles must sit out 2017 due to transfer rules, he has two years of eligibility remaining.

Giles joins former Texas Tech teammate Breiden Fehoko, a defensive lineman, as Red Raiders to announce their transfer plans this offseason and end up picking LSU as their landing spot.
