St. Augustine senior Caleb Daniels announced on Wednesday that he plans to play at Tulane.

“Tulane is home,” Daniels said. “The role they have me coming in is very fitting for me and they are ranked 36th in the nation in academics and you can’t beat that. And then I get to be a part of coach (Mike) Dunleavy’s first recruiting class and being coached by him is an honor. He is a coach who can get me to the next level.”

The versatile Daniels, a 6-foot-4 high-flyer who averaged 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Purple Knights, led his team to the Division I semifinals.
