VooDoo Release General Manager Jon Norris

NEW ORLEANS – On Monday, the New Orleans VooDoo released Jon Norris from his general manager role, which he held in the organization for the last two seasons, announced VooDoo owner Dan Newman.

"Jon Norris did a really good job at coordinating the re-launch of the VooDoo in New Orleans," said Newman. "Jon played in the first year of the Arena Football League and has been a player or coach in the league for most of its 25 years. He's a good friend and an AFL lifer."

Before joining the VooDoo front office, Norris was the Head Football Coach of the Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings for 4 seasons. He served previously as an assistant for the Austin Wrangles in the AFL and as head coach of the Tulsa Talons of af2.

The Arena Football League just completed its 25th season with ArenaBowl XXV last Friday in New Orleans hosted by The New Orleans VooDoo. The AFL's 26th season will begin in February of 2013.
