The C-USA Spirit of Service Award is designed to recognize the community service efforts of the league's student-athletes, based upon significant community service, good academic standing and participation in their elected sport. The Spirit of Service award is presented three times throughout the season, with today's honorees representing Conference USA's winter sports: men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, rifle and men's and women's swimming.

Hogan played in 26 games this season for the Green Wave and averaged 1.4 points and 1.0 rebound per game.

The junior from Kalispell, Mont., is currently pursuing a degree in Religious Studies and holds a 3.248 GPA in the scholastic realm while serving as an active member of the Tulane Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Hogan helped with 70 elementary students on Shadow-a-Student-Athlete Day, allowing the children to follow student-athletes through a typical day and be exposed to the college experience. He also helped with Wave Day, which educates more than 400 young students about the possibility of attending college and continuing their education.
