It was a special weekend for the SportsNOLA team of writers at the annual Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame induction events in Natchitoches.
As part of the festivities, the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) honored several contributors at SportsNOLA.com, formerly NewOrleans.Com/Sports, with a trio of sweeps in all three website-only categories for sports writing excellence:

Allee-Walsh was recognized for his work covering the New Orleans Saints for the past year as the best writer in two areas (Event and Features).
Placing in all three categories, East garnered first place for his weekly column contributions.
McDonald was recognized in all three categories for his work as a general columnist focusing on the state of Louisiana.
SportsNOLA's president and general manager Ken Trahan placed second for his regular column work featured on the website.
