Thevenot only Tulane player to make preseason All-CUSA team

Tulane punter Ross Thevenot was voted as a first-team All-Conference USA selection by the media. Thevenot is the only member of the Green Wave to make either the first or second team.

Former Destrehan High School standout Damaris Johnson was honored as the league's preseason Special Teams Player of the Year as the first-team kick-returner.

Report: Deal for LSU-UNC football game in Atlanta close

Online petition touts Rickey Jackson for Canton

The push to have the man many feel was the greatest defensive player in New Orleans Saints history - and one of the National Football League's all time greats at the linebacker position - continues via the world wide web.

A petition is available here for those who believe Rickey Jackson belongs in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH. Jackson has been elligible for induction throughout the decade but has never been voted as a finalist for consideration.

Report: Pargo signs 1-year, $2 million deal with Bulls

You can go 'home' again. But for guard Jannero Pargo, that means his first NBA home in Chicago - not New Orleans.

The veteran guard has agreed to a one-year, $2 million contract with the Bulls, according to Adrian Wojnarowski with Yahoo! Sports. The former Arkansas Razorback is expected to help replace the departed Ben Gordon who signed with the Detroit Pistons.
