NEW IBERIA - The best way to describe what happened Friday night at Lloyd G. Porter Stadium is to call it a game of two halves with opposite results. Westgate rallied to beat 4th-seeded Central in a Class 5A quarterfinal game, 30-27.

Salmen passes way to win at Breaux Bridge, 34-29

Salmen quarterback Daniel Sams was pretty much the cog that ran the offensive wheel for the Spartans earlier this season. After Sams was dismissed from the school, most people said that any chance of getting to the Dome was gone for Salmen. Someone forgot to tell that to George Williams and new signal-caller Matt Lipham.
