Rain, rain, and more rain is what the New Orleans metro area saw last week and it forced changes in local prep baseball coverage. There are changes to report on both the television and radio fronts.
The District 9-5A match up between the Rummel Raiders and Brother Martin Crusaders at Kirsch Rooney Stadium on Wednesday, April 4 was rained out and has been rescheduled for this Thursday, April 12 at UNO’s Privateer Park. This game will now be broadcast live on WGSO 990 am radio with the pre game show beginning at 6:45 p.m.
The next night, the Jesuit Blue Jays will play host to the Rummel Raiders at John Ryan Stadium on Friday, April 13. This key District 9-5A match up will be televised on a tape delay basis on Monday, April 16th at 8:00 p.m. on WHNO-TV 20.
Since rain affected the original First NBC Bank Prep Baseball Showcase schedule, the second meeting between Rummel and Brother Martin on Tuesday, April 24 will now be televised on a tape delay basis on Wednesday, April 25th at 8:00 p.m. on WHNO TV 20. This game will also be broadcast live on WGSO 990 am radio.
