New Orleans Saints linebacker Chris Chamberlain will miss the entire 2012 season after injuring his knee in the second quarter of Friday night's preseason loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Chamberlain, one of three unrestricted free agent linebackers brought in by the Saints this offseason, confirmed the news on Twitter Saturday afternoon.

Chamberlain, who signed with New Orleans in March, played for new Saints defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo in St. Louis. Last season, Chamberlain started 13 games and had 81 total tackles, two sacks and an interception.
