Prep Volleyball: Hannan Overcomes Denham Springs; Belle Chasse Does It Again

LADY HAWKS WIN TIGHT AFFAIR:

Archbishop Hannan overcame a two sets to one deficit to defeat Denham Springs 25-15, 24-26, 23-25, 25-17, 15-12 in an evenly-fought battle Thursday.

Kassadi Monica led the way with 31 assists while Hannan Naquin produced 28 kills to pace the Lady Hawks, who improved to 12-6 on the season.

Hannan will host Live Oak next Tuesday.

Denham Springs dropped to 11-8 with the defeat. The Yellow Jackets host Central on Monday.

Belle Chasse won its third consecutive match, defeating Helen Cox 25-6, 25-11, 25-10 in the 7-4A opener for both teams at Helen Cox Thursday.

With the win, the Lady Cardinals moved to 10-9 overall while the Cougars dropped to 9-10 on the season.

Belle Chasse plays at West St. John next Tuesday while the Lady Cougars will play at O. Perry Walker.
