RUMMEL GRAD MOVES UP IN STEELERS FRONT OFFICE:

New Orleans native Omar Khan has been promoted to director of football and business administration for the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Khan, who graduated from Tulane and Archbishop Rummel, was previously the team’s football and business administration coordinator. He has been with the Steelers since 2001 and handles contract negotiations and management of the team’s salary cap.

Khan has been a candidate for several general manager positions in the last few years, most recently in February with the St. Louis Rams.
