6:05 p.m.- Once again, Rummel defeats St Aug 9-3 to improve to 6-2 in district while St Aug remains winless at 0-7 in district 10-5A.  Rummel will be back here tommrow afternoon at Mike Miley to take on Shaw at 3 p.m. Thank you for tuning into New Orleans.com/Sports for this afternoon's live blog of the Rummel St Aug baseball game.  This is Darrell Ashley signing off from Mike Miley Stadium.  Good Night

6:01 p.m.- St Aug got off to a great start in the top of the 1st scoring two runs but the Purple Knight bats went cold after that only managing a couple of hits and scoring one run.  Rummel was able to get the bats going after starting slow and came around in the 4th inning scoring four runs to take their first lead of the game.  St Aug struggled on the mound and had to go through the bullpen using two pitchers after Williams but the result was the same as Rummel scored three runs in the bottom of the 5th to seal the victory.

5:55 p.m.- Rummel retires the side as they snap their three game losing streak with a 9-3 win over St. Aug.  Rummel started out slow but got the bats going scoring seven runs in two innings to overtake the Purple Knights.

5:50 p.m.- Cody Knoll is walked by Kyle Jones but Russell Zimmerman is out at 1st striking out as the catcher makes the throw at 1st for the thrid out. 9-3 Rummel as we head to the top of the 7th with St Aug down to their final three outs.

5:44 p.m.- Kyle Jones strikes out Jared Gonzales for out #1.  1 out and no runners on base.

5:38 p.m.- Rummel retires the side quickly as we head to the bottom of the 6th with the Raiders leading 9-3.

5:37 p.m.- Kyle Jones ends the inning by striking out Cameron Hoffman at the plate.  Rummel with another good inning scoring three runs on two RBI Singles and leads 9-3 over St.Aug heading to the top of the 6th.

5:31 p.m.- RBI Single for Jared Dahmer to score Taylor Hart from 2nd. 9-3 Rummel in control with 2 outs, a runner at 1st.

5:29 p.m.- Ray Viet gets to second on an error.  Taylor Hart then steps up with an RBI Single.  8-3 Rummel with 2 outs.

5:27 p.m.- Trent Giambrone grounds out to 1st for the 2nd out. Ray Viet now at bat with 2 outs.

5:25 p.m.- Kyle Blakesely grounds out to 1st as Knoll reaches 3rd base. 1 out.  Knoll scores from 3rd on a wild pitch by Jones. 7-3 Rummel.

5:24 p.m.- Knoll steals 2nd.  Kyle Blakesely is up at the plate 0-2 count.

5:20 p.m.- Cody Knoll leads off for the Raiders with a single.  Another pitching change for St.Aug as Harrison steps off the mound.  Kyle Jones is will take over pitching for the Purple Knights.

5:17 p.m.- Russell Cornin grounds out to 1st to end the frame.  St Aug scores one on a deep fly sacrafise by Dominic Cook to score Nick Mena from 3rd on one hit. Rummel still leads 6-3 heading to the bottom of the 5th. 

5:15 p.m.- St Aug with a triple by Nick Mena.  1 out on a strikeout by Mutter.  Mena scores from 3rd on a deep fly by Dominik Cook.  2 outs.  6-3 Rummel

5:13 p.m.-  After 4th inning:

5:11 p.m.- Hotfelter is picked off at 2nd trying to steal.  Rummel scores four runs in the bottom of the 4th and now leads 6-2 over St. Aug heading to the top of the 5th.

5:09 p.m.- Albert Hotfelter on an RBI single to score Gonzales from 2nd.  6-2 Rummel with 2 outs and a runner at 1st.

5:07 p.m.- Jared Gonzales with the RBI single to score Hoffman. 5-2 Rummel with 2 outs. 


5:05 p.m.- Hoffman with the single to left field.  Steals 2nd.  2 outs with Jared Gonzales at the plate for the Raiders.

5:04 p.m.- Hart scores on a balk.  4-2 Rummel.  No runners now on as Cameron Hoffman is at plate with a 3-1 count.

5:02 p.m.- Jared Dahmer grounds out on a fielder's choice at 1st base.  2 outs with Hart at 2nd.

5:00 p.m.- Nick Harrision is on the mound for the Purple Knights.  Jared Dahmer is up at the plate.

4:58 p.m. Taylor Hart steps up and gets a single past 2nd base.  1 out and Hart is at 1st.  Bryon Williams comes out of the game as his day is done on the mound.

4:56 p.m.- Trent Giambrone leads off and hits one out of the park for a homerun.  Rummel takes their first lead of the game 3-2. 1 out on a ground out by Ray Viet.

4:55 p.m.- Rummel retires the side as the bats have gone cold for the Purple Knights.  No hits, no runs as we head to the bottom of the 4th inning with the game still tied at 2.

4:50 p.m.- Kyle Blakesely with a pop fly to center field to end the inning. Rummel scores one run on a deep fly by Cody Knoll to score Albert Hotfelter from 3rd. Game is tied at 2 heading to the top of the 4th inning.

4:46 p.m.- Jared Gonzales with the infield single to get to 1st.  Albert Hotfelter with the sacrafise bunt to get Gonzales to 2nd and now is at 3rd on a balk.  Hotfelter scores on a deep fly ball from 3rd by Cody Knoll. Game is tied at 2 with 2 outs.   

4:42 p.m.- Rummel retires the side as Mutter strikes out Brent Washington and Russell Corin.  Bryon Williams grounds out to Taylor Hart and Hart makes the throw to 1st.  No runs, no hits for St.Aug as the Purple Knights lead 2-1 over Rummel heading to the bottom of the 3rd.

4:41 p.m.- Rummel leaves the bases loaded as Bryon Willams strikes out Cameron Hoffman.  No hits, a walk, two hit batters that loaded the bases for the Raiders are stranded.  2-1 St.Aug as we head to the top of the 3rd.

4:37 p.m.- Williams again sends a runner to the base by hitting Jared Dahmer.  Bases are loaded as Cameron Hoffman steps up to the plate with 2 outs.

4:36 p.m.- Williams hits Taylor Hart at the plate to send him to 1st.  Runners at 1st and 2nd with 2 outs.

4:33 p.m.- Giambrone hits the ball to center field but is caught for the out. Ray Viet went up and is out on a catch by Nick Mena.  2 outs and a runner on 2nd on a steal by Blakesley.

4:32 p.m.- Kyle Blakesely leads off and takes a walk off of Bryon Williams.  No outs with Blakesley at 1st.  Trent Giambrone up at the plate.

4:28 p.m.- St.Aug leaves the bases loaded as Jared Roberts pops it up and Jared Dahmer makes the catch for the 3rd out.  2-1 St. Aug leading over Rummel as we head to the bottom of the 2nd inning.

4:26 p.m.- Nick Mena with a pop fly as Cameron Hoffman makes the catch for the 2nd out.  Bases are loaded.

4:22 p.m.- Kevin Derbingy leads off but grounds out to Trent Giambrone and he makes the toss to 1st for the 1st out.  Chris Wilmore reaches 1st on an error.  Then Kendall Jones reaches 1st on another error.  Runners at 1st and 2nd with 1 out.  Ryan Harrell with the single to load the bases.

4:19 p.m.- Cody Knoll with a deep fly to center field as Russel Corin makes to catch to end the inning.  Rummel scores one run on an RBI single by Cameron Hoffman.  We head to the top of the 2nd with St.Aug leading 2-1.

4:18 p.m.- Dahmer with the pop fly but was caught by Kendall Jones for the out.  Albert Hotfelter with the pop fly and was caught for the 2nd out.  2 outs with runners at 1st and 2nd.

4:17 p.m.- Hoffman with the single to score Hart from 2nd for an RBI.  2-1 St Aug in the bottom of the 1st with no outs and runners at 1st and 2nd with Jared Gonzales at the plate.

4:15 p.m.- Bryon Williams walks Dahmer to send him to 1st.  Cameron Hoffman now at bat with runners at 1st and 2nd with no outs. 2-0 St. Aug leads.

4:13 p.m.- Taylor Hart leads off and takes a walk.  Hart steals 2nd on a wild pitch.  Jared Dahmer now at the plate with no outs and a runner on 2nd.

4:09 p.m.- Bryon Williams steals 2nd but Knoll makes the pick off to Giambrone for the 2nd out.  Russell Corin grounds out to 1st for the last out.  2-0 St. Aug heading to the bottom of the 1st on three hits plus two RBIs.


4:06 p.m.- Jared Roberts with the sacrafise bunt.  Mutter scoops it up and makes the quick toss for the out.  Then Brent Washington sends deep for an RBI Triple.  Bryon Williams steps up with an RBI Single.  2-0 Purple Knights on three hits.
