Bowling: Rummel, Brother Martin, Jesuit Advance To Bi-Regionals

PREP BOWLING PLAYOFF REPORT FOR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28
Rummel remained unbeaten, advancing to the Baton Rouge-New Orleans boys co-ed Regional Bowling State Playoffs with a 21-6 win over Brother Martin.
Charles Noble led the way for the Raiders with a 279 game and a 741 series. It was the third time Rummel has beaten Brother Martin this season.
The Raiders bowled wonderfully, with its six bowlers averaging 220. Rummel is now 12-0 on the year.
Brother Martin rebounded to down Shaw in an elimination match, knocking the Eagles out of the playoffs with a 20-7 victory. With the win, the Crusaders improved to 10-4. Jesuit earlier defeated Shaw 20-7 so the Blue Jays advance to the bi-regional round as well, along with Rummel and Brother Martin.
In the Baton Rouge area playoffs, Baker, Catholic High, Central, Christian Life, Denham Springs, Redemptorist and St. Michael advanced with wins to round out the 10-team field next Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Circle Bowl in Baton Rouge. Winners there advance to the state semifinals and state championship matches on April 14 at All-Star Lanes in Baton Rouge.
