LSU told Tyrann Mathieu that his football season is over, but the story will not go away.

According to Jim Kleinpeter of The Times Picayune, Tigers head football coach Les Miles told Mathieu Tuesday to "move on with his career."

However, LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette via Twitter issued a denial on Miles' behalf Wednesday:

Just talked w @LSUcoachMiles & he said, "there's no truth" to what Times-Pic is reporting. There was no meeting w/ Miles & TM last nite

Miles also said that the T-P report of him advising TM "to move on with his career" is not true. @LSUfball

Meanwhile, it is expected the Mathieu will continue to take time to weigh his options which include a potential transfer to another non-FBS school where he would be immediately eligible to play.
