THIBODAUX – The Nicholls State University women's team was defeated 7-0 against Southland Conference-foe Texas State University at the Colonel Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.

Nicholls (10-10, 3-6 SLC) will play its final home match of the season on Sunday when they Colonels host first-place UT-Arlington at 11:00 a.m.

Texas State (10-7, 6-4 SLC) grabbed the doubles point by taking all three matches by the score of 8-4. In singles play, Tatiana Denezhkina was the only Colonel to take their match into three sets as she dropped the No. 4 matchup 4-6, 7-5, 10-6.
