LAFAYETTE – After a series win over Top 5-ranked Alabama, the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Softball squad has moved up in the rankings of both of the major national polls.

Louisiana rose to No. 16 in both the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 poll and ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 poll released on Tuesday, up two spots from its No. 18 ranking in both polls last week.

The Ragin’ Cajuns begin play in the event, which continues a season-opening 23-game homestand, on Thursday with games against Drake at 4:30 p.m. and Bowling Green at 6:45 p.m.
