Ross Scelfo, Tyler Held of St. Michael sign to play baseball at Delgado

Ross Scelfo and Tyler Held signed their national letters of intent to play baseball for Delgado last Tuesday in a ceremony at St. Michael High School.

St. Michael (22-8) has been to the Class 4A semifinals the last three seasons and is currently ranked No. 4 in the Division II power ratings under Johnny Bernhard, head coach at St. Michael in his ninth season.

Ross Scelfo’s brother, Nick, is the first base coach for the Warriors. The elder Scelfo was an all-district baseball player for the Warriors in 2009 and an All-Southland Conference tight end for Nicholls State in 2012.

In his varsity career, Held has made 22 appearances (27.1 IP with just 5 BB, 11K, 1-0 with a save)
