Report: Wayne Cordova leaving Newman for McNeese staff

Wayne Cordova is taking his talents from the prep ranks to the college game again.

Currently the defensive coordinator at Isidore Newman High School, Cordova is reportedly returning to his alma mater McNeese State to serve as director of football operations.

The St. Augustine alum was head coach at his alma mater from 2006-08 and coached on staffs at Destrehan and Brother Martin.

Cordova also served as director of player personnel at Grambling in 2013 and then the same position on Curtis Johnson’s staff at Tulane prior to accepting the job at Newman.
