The LSU basketball program received a boost Tuesday when one of the nation’s top power forwards committed to the Tigers and first-year coach Will Wade on the eve of the spring signing period.

For the second time in five months, Wade will get the signature of 6-foot-10, 225-pound forward Mayan Kiir of Victory Rock Prep in Bradenton, Florida, on a letter of intent when the signing period begins Wednesday.

Loren Jackson, Kiir’s high school coach, confirmed to The Advocate on Tuesday afternoon that the four-star prospect (according to ESPN) will sign Wednesday morning with LSU.
