Patrick Taylor captured the District 8 Track and Field Meet Championship after scoring a school-record 181 points.

The Lady Tigers beat the two-time defending district powerhouse Holden High School by 13
points. Individual winners for Patrick Taylor were Davion Lemon in the 100 meters, Aaliyah Edinburgh in High Jump and Ryuun Naquin in Pole Vault. The 400-meter relay team set a season best time in winning the event.

Taylor’s Boys Track and Field team finished second by eight points to Slaughter
Community Charter. A controversial 400-meter relay exchange zone disqualification of Patrick Taylor’s team in the event proved decisive in the team standings.

Alex Walker earned the Field Event MVP the the second straight year, winning the Pole Vault and Triple Jump. Ryan Boudreaux was a double winner in the 3200 and 1600 meter runs and also placed third in the 800 meters.
