(New Orleans, La.) Loyola University New Orleans Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Brett Simpson announced Andrew Goff as the head men’s and women’s golf coach this afternoon. Goff comes to Loyola after spending the last four years as an assistant professional at the New Orleans Country Club.

“We are excited to welcome Drew Goff as our head men’s and women’s golf coach. We were impressed by his vision of recruiting talented scholar athletes to Loyola as well as his commitment to the New Orleans community. We look forward to Drew leading our program to many successes both on the course and in the classroom,” said Simpson.

Goff is no stranger to the Southern States Athletic Conference, as he was a member of the William Carey golf team from 2007-09. Goff served as team captain for the Crusaders during his senior year and was named All-GCAC and All-Region XIII during the 2007-08 season.

After graduating from William Carey with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Goff took the position as head golf professional at the Covington Country Club where he spent two years before taking the head golf professional job at NOCC.

A native Lucedale, Miss., Goff is a Class A PGA Professional and has numerous professional victories, most recently winning the 2016 Gulf States PGA Antigua/Haas-Jordan Pro-Pro Championship held at The University Club of Baton Rouge.

He started his collegiate career at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he was a member of the golf team while earning an Associates of Arts degree. During his time with the Bulldogs, Goff earned All-Region and All-State honors.

“I am excited to lead the men’s and women’s golf programs at Loyola University New Orleans,” said Goff. “It is truly an honor to join the Wolf Pack family and a University so rich in tradition. I look forward to continuing to build on last season’s success and beginning to prepare to contend for SSAC championships.”

Goff’s first day with the Wolf Pack will be October 2, and he will lead the men’s and women’s teams to the Spring Hill Invitational on October 3-4.
