Krokeide 13th, Cowboys 8th at All-American Intercollegiate

HUMBLE, Texas – Andreas Krokeide shot a 1-under par 71 in Sunday’s final round of the All-American Intercollegiate presented by Coca-Cola as the junior ended the 54-hole event tied for 13th place on the individual leaderboard with a 3-under 213 to pace McNeese to an eighth place team finish in the 18-team field.

Krokeide began the final round four straight birdies and was 3-under for the day before hitting bogeys on holes 15 and 16 to end the day with a 71.

No. 13 Baylor won the team title at 28-under par followed by No. 1 ranked Vanderbilt at 23-under par.

Duncan McNeill had the next lowest round for the Cowboys on Sunday with a 1-over 73. He finished 7-over for the tournament.

Daniel O’Loughlin and Alejandro Villasana each scored 2-over 74s for the round. O’Loughlin was the next highest finisher for McNeese in the tournament in a tie for 32nd at 1-over par.

Villasana and Blake Elliott each finished the event at 5-over.

McNeese shot a 292 on the day to end at 4-over par with an 868 team score.

The Cowboys will not return to the links until March 10-11 when they take part in the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas.
