RUSTON, La. – After powering Louisiana Tech to wins over unbeaten Arkansas and Wichita State, Chase Lunceford was recognized as Conference USA Player of the Week.

In five games, the senior launched three home runs and collected eight hits. Of those eight hits, five went for extra bases. The senior registered at least one RBI in all five games this week.

As Louisiana Tech toppled nationally-ranked Arkansas on Tuesday night, Lunceford hit the game-winning double down the right field line to give the Bulldogs the lead.

Lunceford wasn’t finished though and as Louisiana Tech looked to complete the sweep of Wichita State, who entered the week unbeaten, he blasted two home runs in the series finale on Sunday afternoon.

Lunceford joins Nate Harris, as Bulldogs have received player of the week honors from Conference USA in consecutive weeks.

Lunceford and the Bulldogs will be back at it tomorrow night, travelling to Starkville, Miss. for a midweek battle with Mississippi State at 6 p.m. on SEC Network+.
