NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana is the most upwardly mobile team in the NAIA women’s tennis top 25 during the past month.

The Gold Nuggets continued to climb Tuesday, moving from 14th to 10th in the coaches poll. They’ve climbed an NAIA-leading nine spots in the last two polls to earn their 26th all-time top-10 appearance.

The Gold Nuggets are 4-6 but 3-2 against ranked NAIA opponents, including neutral-site victories against then-No. 7 Indiana Wesleyan and then-No. 4 Brenau. XULA ranked ahead of both teams Tuesday.

Both XULA teams are in the top 10 for the first time since May 20, 2015. The Gold Rush are No. 2 for the fourth time in as many men’s polls this season.

The Gold Nuggets will play twice this week in Florida: a Thursday exhibition against ASA Miami — ranked second in the National Junior College Athletic Association — and Friday against NAIA No. 22 St. Thomas. Both dual matches will start at 10 a.m. EDT.

NOTES: St. Thomas replaced Keiser on the schedule . . . The Nuggets’ home match with William Carey has been moved again, this time to April 13 . . . An April 13 dual at West Florida was moved to April 15 . . . Added to the schedule were an April 18 dual at the University of New Orleans and an April 22 home dual against LSU-Alexandria.
