Alexandria, LA – The defending Red River Athletic Conference champion Generals added a little more firepower to the offense, signing junior college transfer forward Lance Crabtree to the squad, head coach Brocklon Chatman announced.

Crabtree, from Saltillo, Mississippi, joins the Generals after two years at Northwest Mississippi Community College. In his first season with the Rangers, he started all 20 matches and led the state with 16 goals, including eight game-winners which led the NJCAA, to go along with five assists. He was named First Team All-MACJC and a NJCAA All-Region 23 player.

In his sophomore season, he slid back to a more defensive role, picking up a goal on 24 shots with 11 on goal. His play still garnered him recognition, being named NJCAA All-Region 23 for the second straight season.

“Lance is the type of center forward we’ve been after for some time now,” said head coach Brocklon Chatman. “We are absolutely thrilled to add him to our squad. We expect he will make an immediate impact on our team.”

Crabtree is set to join LSUA and take the pitch in the Fall.
