GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns baseball junior right-hander Dylan Moore was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Stopper of the Year Award Midseason Watch List for the second straight season, members of the association announced Wednesday.
“It’s always an honor to have someone recognized nationally for their hard work and effort,” head coach Tony Robichaux said. “D-Mo has been the model of what it means to be a student-athlete, excelling both on and off of the field. We’ve been fortunate to have a guy like him in the back end of our bullpen. Like I’ve said many times by now, this is just another example of baseball paying someone back for their hard work and effort and I couldn’t be prouder of D-Mo.”
Moore is one of 17 players on the 40-man list who was on the preseason watch list released in February. A native of Hughes Springs, Texas, Moore has eight saves on the year with a 1-1 record and a 3.20 ERA in 25.1 innings. Moore ranks third in the Sun Belt in saves and games finished. He also ranks top 15 in the league in appearances and games in relief.
The Cajuns are back in action on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the first of three games against UT Arlington at Clay Gould Ballpark.
