Delgado held the lead throughout the first half, holding a 32-25 halftime lead. The Generals tied the game 39-39 on Colby Harrison’s free throw and took the lead with Vince Sander’s two-pointer seconds later.

With the game knotted 56-56 with two seconds remaining, Chris Vickers’ two point shot gave LSU-Alexandra the lead and the victory, narrowly edging the Dolphins, 58-56.

Delgado was led by Christopher Mark (16 points) and Miles-Jordan Smartt (11 points).

Delgado’s Men’s and Women’s teams will travel to Shreveport Saturday to open conference play against Southern-Shreveport. The Dolphins return home next Wednesday, hosting Baton Rouge Community College in conference games in the Williamson Center.
