RUSTON – Louisiana Tech’s Jazmin Britos and Nadja Manjon were named to the Women’s Tennis All-Conference USA Team in singles on Friday, as voted on by the 14 league head coaches.

The senior Britos was selected to the second team while the freshman Manjon was selected to the third team, making it the fifth straight year LA Tech has had multiple players earn all-conference honors.

For Britos, this marked the fourth straight year earning all-conference honors, joining former Lady Techster Alexandra Starkova as the only LA Tech players to do so.

The Villarrica, Paraguay native posted a team-best 14-8 dual singles record, playing all 22 matches at the No. 1 position. The 14 wins tied a career high and marked the fourth consecutive year of double-digit victories. She finished her stellar career with 51 dual singles wins, the third most in program history.

This season, she had two separate streaks of four straight wins. Some of her highlight wins were an 0-6, 6-2, 7-6 comeback victory over Brianna Lashway of No. 31-ranked Missouri and a straight-sets win in the first round of the C-USA Tournament versus Charlotte.

Manjon had an immediate impact as a Lady Techster, recording a 12-11 dual singles record which tied for the fourth most wins by a LA Tech freshman in the last 20 years. The 12 wins was also the second most of any C-USA freshman.

The La Coruna, Spain native played primarily from the No. 2 position, going 6-6. Her first career dual win came in the spring opener versus Oral Roberts, clinching the match with a 6-3, 6-1 victory.

Manjon registered a season-best four-match winning streak and also recorded two conference wins in singles, including a three-set victory versus Middle Tennessee.
