The Bayou Classic could move from NBC to NBCSN this fall.

For the past 24 hours, it’s been a fixture on NBC on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

But it’s possible the annual Bayou Classic between Grambling State and Southern University could move from network to cable this fall.

In his blog on college sports on TV, Matt Sarzyniak quoted a Twitter exchange with the Southwestern Athletic Conference in which the league said there is a “very good chance” the Bayou Classic moves from NBC to the network’s all-sports cable channel, NBC Sports Network.

Southern has indicated the 2015 game, which has kicked off at 1 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. for most of the last 24 years, would kick at 2 p.m. this November. However, the league told Sarzyniak that kickoff time is TBA “until (NBC) decides which platform will carry it.”
