The CEO has already made a key move now that he is in charge full time. LSU head coach Ed Orgeron has managed to retain defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, who has agreed to a new three-year contract to remain with the Tigers.

The 40-year-old Aranda agreed to a new contract that officials drafted Saturday morning, according to The Advocate. The contract reportedly includes a raise, extension and a new title of associate head coach.

Former LSU coach Les Miles lured Aranda from Wisconsin with a three-year contract in January, paying him $1.2 million a year. Aranda’s defense this season often performed at an elite level, earning him a nomination for the Broyles Award annually given to the nation’s top assistant coach.
