Acadiana forfeits football win over Sulphur

Acadiana has forfeited its Sept. 30 win over Sulphur, as first reported by KPLC-TV in Lake Charles.

The forfeit is listed on Sulphur and Acadiana’s schedules on the office LHSAA scores website, although the LHSAA has not released any information on the matter.

Acadiana Principal David LeJeune confirmed the forfeit to KPLC, saying he received word from the LHSAA on Monday. LeJeune said Acadiana self-reported an ineligible player.

Acadiana beat Sulphur 35-28 on Sept. 30.

With the forfeit, Sulphur is now 6-1 and 3-0 in district. Acadiana is 4-3 and 3-1 in district.
